As a classical guitarist I use the authentic right hand technique. Without nails, gut strings and the little finger on the table. I own several historical instruments. You hear the Pasquier guitar. Paris c 1800.
You can see more guitars from my collection at the website of Roeland Weichelt.
A similar guitar as the Pasquier is on this portrait of the Limburgian family van Aefferden ca1820.
In my collection of 19th century guitar manuscripts there are some, mostly
These once belonged to Max van Aken (Maastricht 1799-1892)and Van Dijke who were Limburg amateur
guitarists active around 1820-1850.
They also owned guitar music by Carulli, Fier and Giuliani and chamber music
for flute and or violin with guitar by De Gall and Doisy, and string
quartets by Bocherini.
Max van Aken married Félicté de Lenarts. Possible he made this guitar songbook for her. The first song is about Philis. (Félicté?)
